HTP has been assigned to conduct a feasibility study to process MSW in a MST plant. Several consortiums are bidding for the MSW contract awarded by the City of Baoji.

The Bureau of Sanitation of the City of Baoji favours recycling instead of incineration. Nevertheless advanced MBT-technologies are financially viable.
